Sum bleddy July!
For the most part I loved July, aside from teaching, I spent ALOT of time cooling off in and on the water, swimming at 7am with friends, paddling into the sunset at some of my favourite spots on the north coast and we even did a full moon dip too! I have always adored water, especially being by the sea and watching the summer sunsets from my back garden, with a little glass of wine or peppermint tea has been a real treat this year (the picture at the end of this newsletter)
What did you get up to?
We kept the studio cool with our now famous space curtain! I am already looking at options to make the studio heatwave proof for next Summer by way of fans, curtains and permanent reflective blinds.
However, July wasn't without it's challenges, unfortunately my mum has been very ill again and I am very grateful to my apprentice Raphy for her support and cover at short notice. Thank you to all our amazing clients for being so supportive and caring.
Also the booking system has been a monumental challenge since I changed it in January and I have decided to go back to something simple (more on that soon). I made a mistake and it has not served the business or you as I had hoped. I will be migrating all existing clients first and then I will open it up for everyone.
What was really exciting and a real bonus end for me personally is being accepted unconditionally for an MSc starting in November. It is in a subject I have been increasingly interested in over the years, through recent personal experiences, my 15 years of observing moving bodies and an area of study that was also involved in my dance PGcert back in 2011.
I will be studying Psychology and Neuropsychology part time. The brain holds so much power over how the body moves and how our central nervous systems function. Not to mention how behaviour impacts our lives positively and negatively. I am hoping to combine that with my love of water too. Look out for blog posts on my professional website.
After all that, I am looking forward to August, are you? I do hope this weather holds, especially for the studios end of Summer social (tbc). I also look forward to working with you all too.
If you have any questions or want to be part of our community, pop me an email or click the link below.
Wishing you all an 'Ansum' August and I'll be in touch soon about Autumn workshops and the new booking system soon,
Stacy x
Can you help, we are curious...
What is your experience of Pilates?
Do you practice regularly or do you need some help in getting started?
We would love to know more about your experienceso we can offer you a better variety of classes at times that suit you. The survey below takes around 3 minutes and will really help us out.
Moving our bodies well is not just about doing it for ourselves, it is about doing it for the people that rely on us too.
One of the ways my studio helps people move well all week is through our movement library. It is included in our Feel, See & Transform memberships. Over 75 small videos of exercises, short sequences and more to keep you on track between classes or if you can't attend in person.
Recap on Real Women • Real Conversations

What a lovely 5 days we had, chatting about womanhood, midlife, breathing and more! The Facebook group is running and we are having weekly conversations. I will be hosting a workshop at the studio in Wadebridge with Esther Benwell on breathwork for menopause and one aimed at Pilates teachers too.
This month in the group we are discussing hormones and their role in our health and happiness. Why not join us and discuss your experiences or share any wisdom you may have too.
